Snap some first-class photos at the beautiful Tengalese rice Terrace and meet the Balinese long-tailed monkeys at the Sacred Monkey Forest. After staying in a stunning villa for five nights and getting to know Bali, continue your Asian discovery to Singapore with three nights at a beautiful boutique hotel. Immerse yourself in Singapore’s modern and multicultural city, admiring Marina Bay, exploring Merlion Park, taking a stroll at Singapore Botanic Gardens, visiting one of the oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples, and watching a demonstration of Teh Tarik (pulled tea). You will have free time to sample local cuisine at The Newton Food Center or experience the history and culture of the city in the traditional neighborhood of Tiong Bahru.

Itinerary

DAY 01

DEPART HOMETOWN/BALI

Board your international flight to Bali, a famous Indonesian island located in western Indonesia, just a few miles east of Java.

DAY 02

ARRIVE IN BALI

Welcome to Bali, the Island of the Gods. Bali is known for its lush rainforests, idyllic beaches, magical temples, and rich cultural heritage. Meet your guide at the airport for your private transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free at leisure to settle into your hotel or take a first glimpse of the city.

DAY 03

UBUD ART & CULTURE TOUR (B)

Learn about Balinese culture, architecture, and traditions on a half-day tour with your personal, knowledgeable guide in a private vehicle. Ubud and its neighboring villages have been the center of Balinese art for centuries. First, we visit Celuk village to see gold and silversmiths at work. Then, proceed to Mas, home of Bali’s wood carving crafts. Venture to the Sacred Monkey Forest, where you will see gray macaques roam among Hindu temples in the forest. Stroll through Ubud Traditional Art Market, where you can pick up local crafts and souvenirs. Our last stop is the Ubud King Palace, where you can walk around to take pictures of the traditional Balinese architecture complex. Return to your hotel en route, passing through the bountiful Tegalalang Rice Terrace. This afternoon is free at leisure.

DAY 04

FREE DAY IN BALI (B)

You are free today to explore the island at your leisure. Or, spend the day at the upscale Seminyak area, known for its high-end shopping, trendy boutiques, excellent restaurants, beach clubs, and bar.

Uluwatu Temple With Kecak Dance Performance

Without dinner: $49 per person

With Seafood dinner: $79 per person

Experience the best sundown spot in Bali on a visit to Uluwatu Temple, a Balinese temple built to protect the island from evil spirits at the edge of a 230-foot-high cliff with a commanding view of the Indian Ocean. After exploring the temple and watching the sunset. Experience one of Bali’s most famous cultural performances, the Kecak Fire Dance. Enjoy a Kecak dance with traditional Balinese movements and chants performed in a circle around a blazing torch with a beautiful ocean sunset as your backdrop. After the tour, you can opt to add a delicious barbecue seafood dinner at Jimbaran Bay. Sink your feet in the sand as you dine and relax at the end of an unforgettable evening!

DAY 05

FREE DAY IN BALI (B)

A free day in Nusa Dua. Bali Collection Shopping Mall is within walking distance of your resort and provides the best shopping and dining options in Nusa Dua. Museum Pasifika is 0.2 miles away and offers Indonesia’s most extensive collection of Asia Pacific Artworks. Or, if you want to be active, join a cycling tour. In the evening, you can stroll along the Nusa Dua Promenade.

Full-day Excursion to Nusa Penida with lunch: $199 per person

Spend the day exploring Nusa Penida, a charming island nestled in the waters between Bali and Lombok. Admire the island’s beautiful beaches and rugged coastline, and discover why Nusa Penida has become a popular destination for travelers.

 

After a pick-up from your hotel, head to Sanur Ferry Terminal for a 40-minute fast boat crossing small straits to the island. Our first stop is Uwug Beach, also known as Broken Beach, for a scenic view. This beach is unique, and you won’t find another beach like it in this part of the world except on Nusa Penida Island. Then, head to Klingking Hills, where you can enjoy the spectacular view before having lunch. After lunch, board a small boat to the next destination, where you will have time for snorkeling. Return to Nusa Penida Island and enjoy some time on the natural white sand beach before returning to the harbor to catch the fast boat back to Bali. Upon Arrival at Sanur pier, our driver will take you back to your hotel.

DAY 06

BALI YOUR WAY (B)

Spend a day at the pool or the beach, and enjoy your included 60 minutes of traditional massage at your resort spa.

DAY 07

BALI/SINGAPORE (B)

Take your private transfer to the airport for your flight to Singapore, located off the tip of the Malay Peninsula. Upon arrival, meet your driver for your private transfer to your hotel.

 

Singapore offers a wide variety of good food at affordable prices. Hawker centers are essential to the Singaporean way of life and provide numerous cuisines. The Newton Food Center, the island’s most popular eating spot, with close to 100 hawker stores, is within a short stroll away from your hotel.

DAY 08

SINGAPORE CITY TOUR (B)

Singapore is Southeast Asia’s most modern and multicultural city, with wealthy Chinese, Malay, and Indian cultures. We explore the city by driving around the Civic District, passing by the Padang, Singapore Cricket Club, the historic Parliament House, and the National Gallery Singapore, where the former Supreme Court Building and City Hall sit. Then, stop for a beautiful view of Marina Bay and snap a few photos of the Merlion statue, Singapore’s mythological figure that’s half-fish, half-lion. Next, visit the century-old Thian Hock Keng Temple, a Buddhist-Taoist temple built to worship Mazu, a Chinese sea goddess. We drive past Chinatown before heading to the National Orchid Garden, home to 60,000 orchids of various colors and hybrids. In  Little India, we walk past shops along the five-footway offering exotic fruits, spices, jasmine, and orchid garlands. Watch a skillful demonstration of Teh Tarik – pulled tea at a “Sarabat Stall” and sample the tea with your guide explaining the origins of this all-time local favorite beverage.

DAY 09

SINGAPORE (B)

You are free today to explore the city at your leisure. Perhaps, spend the morning at Tiong Bahru, a heritage-rich neighborhood where you will find trendy cafés, boutiques, patisseries, and traditional markets. The option for the afternoon is to visit Joo Chiat/Katong, home of the Peranakans. Discover Peranakan culture as you stroll past heritage shophouses, quaint stores, and eateries. Don’t miss Peranakans’ plethora of kueh, including rainbow-colored and layered kueh lapis, as well as rolls of coconut and gula Melaka (palm sugar) called kueh dadar.

 

Optional Experience:

A night out at Marina Bay with dinner: $79 per person (Minimum 2 participants)

Following dinner, set off to the Gardens by the Bay. Discover exotic plants in the FlowerDome from the five continents displayed in nine different gardens, or walk in the Cloud Forest and marvel at the 114 feet tall indoor waterfall, a mysterious world veiled in mist and be amazed at the unique and fragile plants. Watch the SuperTree Grove come alive with an exhilarating display of light and sound at night. Enjoy a birds-eye view of the city and Marina Bay from the top of Marina Bay Sand’s Skypark, a roof like no other, perched 656 feet in the air with an observation deck in the clouds (weather permitting).
