DAY 01

WELCOME TO MELBOURNE (DW)

On arrival in Melbourne you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Early evening, join your Travel Director for a Welcome Reception and dinner.

DAY 02

MELBOURNE (B)

Join your Travel Director for an exploration of Melbourne’s famous hidden laneways. You’ll discover the city’s eclectic arcades, café society and fascinating street art.

DAY 03

MELBOURNE/CAIRNS (B)

This morning you’ll fly to Cairns, Queensland. On arrival join a local expert for a private wildlife journey at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures. On a boat cruise you’ll encounter koalas, wallabies, birds and of course, crocodiles! This evening why not dine in one of the many local restaurants.

DAY 04

GREAT BARRIER REEF (B/L)

Get ready for an experience of a lifetime when you board a high-speed catamaran and cruise to the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. View the spectacular coral and tropical fish from the underwater observatory and semi-submersible craft. You’ll have the opportunity to go snorkeling and experience this natural wonder up-close (equipment provided). Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch before you return to Cairns.

DAY 05

CAIRNS FREE TIME (B/D)

Today is free for you to discover Cairns. Perhaps take one of our Optional Experiences. Consider a journey on the Scenic Rail to Kuranda, where there’s time to explore the ‘village in the rainforest’ including the Heritage Village Markets. This evening, prepare for a very special Be My Guest dinner and show at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Experience a personal Welcome to Country ceremony, hear stories of the Dreamtime and witness an entertaining high impact performance by the indigenous group. Then enjoy dinner accompanied by the sounds of the didgeridoo.

DAY 06

CAIRNS/SYDNEY (B/DW)

This morning you’ll fly to Sydney. On arrival there’s time to relax before boarding a Captain Cook Sunset Dinner Cruise. Enjoy your meal and the mesmerising views of Sydney at night. You’ll pass magnificent waterfront homes and parklands and all the main harbor attractions including the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

DAY 07

SYDNEY (B/L)

Celebrate the genius of Jørn Utzon, whose Sydney Opera House is your first stop for a tour with the local expert. Continue to the golden sands of famous Bondi Beach, for an iconic Australian experience. You’ll be greeted by a local surf lifesaver before lunch at an Aussie institution, the Returned Servicemen’s Club, with its views over the Pacific Ocean. Your host will take you on an exclusive tour through Australia’s oldest surf lifesaving club for an insight into the history of Bondi and surf lifesaving.

DAY 08

SYDNEY FREE TIME (B/DW)

Today is yours to explore this wonderful city. Why not take an Optional Experience to the spectacular Blue Mountains? This evening, join your Travel Director and fellow travelers for dinner by the waterfront.

DAY 09

SYDNEY/QUEENSTOWN (B)

This morning say farewell to Sydney and fly to Queenstown, New Zealand. On arrival explore the historic gold mining village of Arrowtown, before an orientation tour of Queenstown and surrounds.

DAY 10

QUEENSTOWN FREE TIME (B/D)

Today you may like to consider an Optional Experience. Perhaps indulge in the region’s vintage cheeses at the Gibbston Valley Winery or board a jet boat for an exhilarating ride down the mighty Shotover River. This evening, join your Travel Director for dinner at The Boatshed, set in the historic New Zealand Railways Shipping Office built in 1936. Restored and relocated to its lakefront setting, The Boatshed, with its spectacular views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables mountain range, is the perfect setting for your Regional Meal with wine.

DAY 11

QUEENSTOWN FREE TIME (B)

On your final day in Queenstown, why not take an Optional Experience to breathtaking Milford Sound for a cruise on the majestic fiord?

DAY 12

QUEENSTOWN/ROTORUA (B/D)

Fly from Queenstown to Rotorua, the cultural center of New Zealand. This evening, join your traveling companions for a memorable Highlight Dinner. Experience the heart-pounding wero (challenge) from a Maori warrior during the Powhiri, a ceremonial welcome, at the Tamaki Family Marae. Journey into the village and gain an insight into life in New Zealand before European settlement. Feast on succulent meats and vegetables cooked in a hangi, the traditional Maori method of cooking in the earth.

DAY 13

ROTORUA (B)

This morning a Maori local expert will accompany you around the Whakarewarewa Living Thermal Village, where you’ll gain an appreciation of Maori culture. See New Zealand’s biggest geyser, bubbling mud pools and thermal springs. Your next stop is Rainbow Springs Nature Park for a tour with a local expert. You may even spot a kiwi! Then visit the Agrodome Farm Show, for an insight into farm life in New Zealand.

DAY 14

ROTORUA/AUCKLAND (B/D)

Travel to the Waitomo Caves to see the incredible Glowworm Grotto and Limestone Caves with a local expert. Glide silently through the subterranean cavern kit by thousands of tiny glow worms. Later, on arrival in Auckland you’ll see the sights on a city tour. This evening, join your Travel Director and new-found friends for a Farewell Dinner.

DAY 15

FAREWELL FROM AUCKLAND (B)

Your vacation concludes this morning after breakfast. Time to bid you farewell as we transfer you to Auckland Airport for your onward flight.
