Arrival in Tashkent, the vibrant capital of Uzbekistan. Upon arrival, meet your local representative and transfer to your hotel for check-in and accommodation. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or begin exploring the city at your own pace.

Today, discover the fascinating capital city of Tashkent, where ancient heritage and modern life blend seamlessly. Begin your city tour at the Khast-Imam Complex, the spiritual center of Tashkent and home to the world-famous Quran of Caliph Uthman, considered one of the oldest surviving manuscripts of the Holy Quran. Within the complex, visit Barak-Khan Madrasah, Muyi Mubarak Madrasah, and the Mausoleum of Kaffal Shashi. Continue to Chorsu Bazaar, one of Tashkent's oldest and most colorful oriental markets, located in the historic Eski-Juva district. Wander through its lively stalls filled with local produce, spices, traditional sweets, and handicrafts. Next, visit Amir Temur Square, a prominent landmark dedicated to the legendary conqueror and founder of the Timurid Empire. Continue to Independence Square, the symbolic heart of modern Uzbekistan and the venue for national celebrations and important state events. Conclude the day with a ride on the Tashkent Metro, the first metro system in Central Asia and the only one in Uzbekistan, renowned for its beautifully decorated stations and unique architectural designs.

This morning, depart Tashkent and travel to the scenic Ugam-Chatkal National Park and the Chatkal River region (approximately 59 miles / 2 hours), a beautiful area known for its mountain landscapes, rivers, and untouched natural beauty. Begin your hiking adventure along the Paltau River, following a picturesque trail upstream through the surrounding mountains. Along the way, visit the impressive Paltau Waterfall, cascading approximately 82 feet amidst lush natural surroundings. Continue to a peaceful birch grove situated at an elevation of approximately 4,691 feet, where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and tranquil scenery. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature before continuing to the Obi Rakhmat Grotto, an important archaeological site dating back to the Paleolithic Age, offering fascinating insight into prehistoric human settlements in the region. After exploring the grotto, hike back toward the Chatkal River before returning to Tashkent.

This morning, transfer to the railway station and board your train (or travel by private vehicle, if applicable) to the historic city of Bukhara. Journey across the vast Kyzylkum Desert, once traversed by Silk Road caravans that carried goods, cultures, and ideas between East and West. Arrive in Bukhara in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel for check-in and accommodation. Enjoy free time to relax or take a stroll through the atmospheric old city, including the charming Lyabi Hovuz Complex (15th–17th centuries), a historic gathering place surrounded by madrasahs, teahouses, and centuries-old architecture. In the evening, proceed to the Nadir Divan-Begi Khanqah to enjoy a traditional dance and folklore performance, offering an introduction to Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage through music and colorful costumes.

Visit the Lyabi Hovuz Complex, featuring a picturesque pond surrounded by the Nodir Devonbegi and Kukaldash Madrasahs. This morning, depart Bukhara for G'ijduvan village (approximately 1 hour), renowned throughout Uzbekistan for its rich pottery-making traditions. Visit a local pottery workshop for a hands-on masterclass and lunch experience. G'ijduvan ceramics are celebrated for their distinctive designs and centuries-old craftsmanship, with skills passed down through generations. Today, the renowned Narzullayev family continues this artistic legacy, bringing G'ijduvan pottery to international recognition. Return to Bukhara and continue sightseeing with visits to Chor Minor Madrasah (1807), known as the "Four Minarets," the Ismail Samani Mausoleum (9th century), one of Central Asia's finest examples of early Islamic architecture, and an exterior view of the elegant Bolo Hauz Mosque. Continue to Sitorai Mohi-Khosa, the former summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara, showcasing a unique blend of Eastern and Russian architectural styles. Later, transfer to the railway station and board the high-speed train to Samarkand (168 miles). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Begin with a visit to the Mausoleum of Amir Temur (Tamerlane), also known as Gur-e Amir, one of the most significant architectural masterpieces of the medieval East and the final resting place of Amir Temur and members of the Timurid dynasty. Continue to the magnificent Registan Square, regarded as Uzbekistan's symbol and one of Central Asia's most iconic architectural ensembles. Admire its impressive collection of three grand madrasahs: Ulugbek Madrasah (15th century), Sher-Dor Madrasah, and Tillya-Kari Madrasah (17th century). While Registan is sometimes informally referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," this title is honorary and not an official designation. Next, visit the majestic Bibi Khanim Mosque, built in the 14th–15th centuries at the behest of Amir Temur in honor of his beloved wife. Continue to Siyob Bazaar, Samarkand's vibrant oriental market, before concluding the day at the Shahi-Zinda Necropolis, a remarkable complex of mausoleums and one of the city's most sacred sites.
