Then, proceed to Mas, the home of Bali's wood carving crafts, before venturing to the Sacred Monkey Forest, where you will see gray macaques roam among Hindu temples in the forest. Stroll through Ubud Traditional Art Market, where you can pick up local crafts and souvenirs. Our last stop is the Ubud King Palace, where you can walk around to take pictures of the traditional Balinese architecture complex. DAY 03 I SUNRISE MT. BATUR TREKKING

After picking up from your hotel, we drive to a milder climate at 3.937 feet above sea level and start a two-hour trek to the top of Mount Batur – a height of 5,633 feet – to enjoy a sublime sunrise (subject to weather conditions). Mount Batur is part of the UNESCO Global Geopark Network and is considered to have some of the most stunning views on the island of Bali. From this vantage point, you will have a magnificent view of the sunrise over the crater and a panorama of Mount Abang, Mount Agung, and Mount Rinjani and Lombok island.

We walk around the rim of the volcanic cone to see the crater site of the last eruption in 1999. The volcano is still active, with smoke rising from its subterranean heart – providing unique photo opportunities. On our descent from the volcano, we will pass an unusual sea of black sand. After exploring the temple and watching the sunset, experience one of Bali's most famous cultural performances, the Kecak Fire Dance.
