Itinerary
Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur, we transfer to our hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is spent at leisure, exploring Malaysia's vibrant capital at our own pace. This cosmopolitan city is home to a host of iconic landmarks, including the dazzling 88-story Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin skyscrapers in the world, as well as the bustling Petaling Street flea market and the ancient Batu Caves, estimated to be over 400 million years old.
Shopaholics can indulge at mega malls like Pavilion KL and Suria KLCC, while those seeking a more cultural experience can take an evening stroll through Chinatown and browse the lively Petaling Night Market. Don't forget to bring your bargaining skills! For food lovers, Jalan Alor is a must-visit, packed with seafood restaurants, hawker stalls, and street-side vendors offering a mouthwatering array of local delights.

After breakfast, we set out on a guided morning city tour to discover Kuala Lumpur's major attractions. Highlights include Istana Negara (the King's Palace), the National Monument, the National Mosque, and the striking old Railway Station. We stop at Central Market, a vibrant cultural landmark built in 1928 as a wet market, now home to handicrafts and local art. We then explore the lively streets of Chinatown before visiting Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square), where we'll see a fascinating blend of colonial-era architecture. We will have lunch at a local colonial-themed restaurant, and you can relax at the hotel in the afternoon or continue exploring the city on your own.

Today, we journey to Malacca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located approximately 150 km south of Kuala Lumpur. Rich in cultural and historical significance, over 400 years of colonial influence have shaped Malacca, from the Portuguese and Dutch to the British and later the Japanese during World War II. Our exploration begins at Dutch Square, home to the Stadthuys, believed to be the oldest surviving Dutch building in the East. We also visit Christ Church, the Clock Tower, and the Queen Victoria Fountain, all iconic remnants of Malacca's colonial past. Next, we visit Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Malaysia's oldest functioning Chinese temple, founded in 1645, and Porta de Santiago, the gateway to the Portuguese fortress A Famosa, built in 1511. A short walk brings us to the ruins of St. Paul's Church, once the resting place of St. Francis Xavier. Following lunch at a local restaurant, we have free time to wander along Jonker Street, famous for its antiques, boutiques, and local handicrafts. We return to Kuala Lumpur in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, we leave behind the urban skyline and head into the cool, lush hills of Cameron Highlands. At around 5,059 feet above sea level, this picturesque hill station is famed for its rolling tea plantations, strawberry farms, and temperate climate. En route, we enjoy lunch at The Lakehouse Hotel in Ringlet, the first township in the Highlands. We continue our scenic journey through Tanah Rata, the region's administrative center, before checking in to our charming countryside retreat. The remainder of the afternoon is spent at leisure, relaxing or exploring our idyllic surroundings. In the evening, we'll dine at the Strawberry Park Resort, offering panoramic views of the highlands.

After breakfast, set out on a guided excursion to the Mossy Forest of Gunung Brinchang. Travel by Land Rover along winding roads through rolling tea gardens, ascending 6,666 feet above sea level to Malaysia’s highest accessible peak by road. Along the way, enjoy your guide’s fascinating “tea talk” and, on clear days, take in sweeping views of the surrounding highlands.
Embark on an interpretive walk with your nature guide through the mystical Mossy Forest, where you’ll discover exotic flora such as pitcher plants, orchids, primitive ferns, and medicinal herbs. Continue with a short drive to the Sungai Palas BOH Tea Factory for a guided tour, followed by a tasting of its signature tea varieties.
The afternoon is yours to explore further at your leisure with your driver at your disposal.

- Mossy Forest easy platform walk is unavailable during the monsoon season (November to January), when the platform walk remains closed.

Today, we journey to the island of Penang, making several fascinating stops along the way. First, we explore Ipoh, known for its colonial charm. Highlights include St. Michael's Institution and the grand old Railway Station. We stop for lunch at a traditional Chinese coffee shop in Ipoh's atmospheric Old Town. Next, we visit Sam Poh Tong, a Chinese temple set within a limestone cave, and continue to Taiping, known for its heritage architecture. We stop at a local charcoal factory in Kuala Sepetang, where mangrove wood is kiln-baked using traditional methods. Before heading to Penang, we visit The Perak Museum, Malaysia's oldest museum. An optional stop at Aun Tong Coffee Mill, Malaysia's most historic coffee roaster (established in 1933), offers a chance to enjoy a cup of heritage coffee. Upon arrival in Penang, we checked into our hotel. In the evening, you are free to relax or explore.

After breakfast, we explore George Town's rich cultural tapestry on a Heritage Walk. First, we visit the Protestant Cemetery, St. Xavier's Institution, St. Paul's Church, and the Penang State Museum, then St. George's Church, the first Anglican church in Southeast Asia. We stroll along the Street of Harmony, where places of worship from four major religions stand side by side, including Kuan Yin Temple (Buddhist), Sri Mariamman Temple (Hindu), and Kapitan Keling Mosque (Muslim). We continue through Little India and visit Khoo Kongsi, an elaborately decorated Chinese clan house. After lunch at Edelweiss Café, housed in a beautifully preserved pre-war shophouse featured in local and international films, we return to the hotel by trishaw. The evening is free to explore the vibrant hawker food scene at Gurney Drive, known for its irresistible local delicacies.
