Board your flight to Tokyo.
ARRIVE IN TOKYO
Arrive in Tokyo, the capital city of Japan, to be transferred to your hotel by airport limousine bus.
TOKYO CITY TOUR (B)
Our sightseeing in Tokyo begins with a half-day city tour. Visit the magnificent Meiji Shrine, noted for its Torii Gate and beautiful inner garden. Then, explore the Imperial Palace Outer Garden and Nijubashi, Tokyo’s most recognized bridge that forms an entrance to the inner palace grounds. Continue to Asakusa and visit Sensoji, a famous Buddhist temple built in the 7th century. Stroll through the Nakamise, a shopping street that has provided temple visitors with various traditional local snacks and tourist souvenirs for centuries. Our tour ends at Yurakucho Station, where you can stay to explore the neighboring Ginza district as you wish or return to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure.
MT. FUJI & HAKONE TOUR (B/L)
Board an air-conditioned bus and go on a day trip to visit Mount Fuji and Lake Ashi. Ascend to the Fifth Station at 7,607 feet above sea level (weather permitting) for the closest view and witness the elegance of Japan’s natural beauty. After lunch, head to Hakone for a cruise on Lake Ashi with a perfect view of Mt. Fuji in the background. Then, ride a ropeway cable car into the Ōwakudani Volcanic Valley, where you can get a bird’s eye view of the many hot springs below. Try traditional Kuro Tamago (Hakone volcano blackened eggs), which are said to prolong one’s life by seven years. After the tour, transfer back to Tokyo for a drop-off at Shinjuku Station.
Option for return to Tokyo by bullet train is available with a $30 per person surcharge.
TOKYO/SINGAPORE (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Singapore, a global financial center with a tropical climate and multicultural population. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
SINGAPORE CITY TOUR (B)
Singapore is Southeast Asia’s most modern city and a multi-cultural country with rich Chinese, Malay, and Indian cultures. We explore the city by driving round the Civic District, passing by the Padang, Singapore Cricket Club, historic Parliament House, and the National Gallery Singapore, where the former Supreme Court Building and City Hall sit. Then, stop for a beautiful view of Marina Bay and a photo op of the Merlion statue, Singapore’s mythological figure that’s half-fish, half-lion. Next, visit the century-old Thian Hock Keng Temple, a Buddhist-Taoist temple built to worship Mazu, a Chinese sea goddess. We drive past Chinatown before heading to the National Orchid Garden, home to 60,000 orchids of various colors and hybrids. Our last stop is the neighborhood of Little India. We walk past shops along with the five-footway offering a variety of exotic fruits, spices, jasmine, and orchid garlands. Watch a skillful demonstration of Teh Tarik – pulled tea at a “Sarabat Stall” and sample the tea after with your guide explaining the origins of this all-time local favorite beverage.
Enjoy the afternoon at leisure or spend your afternoon at Clark Quay, Singapore’s riverfront filled with outdoor restaurants and shophouses.
NIGHT OUT AT MARINA BAY (B/D)
Enjoy a day at leisure.
Following dinner, set off to the Gardens by the Bay. Discover exotic plants in the FlowerDome from the five continents displayed in nine different gardens, or walk in the Cloud Forest and marvel at the 114 feet tall indoor waterfall, a mysterious world veiled in mist with and be amazed at the unique and fragile plants. Watch the SuperTree Grove come alive with an exhilarating display of light and sound at night. Enjoy a birds-eye view of the city and Marina Bay from the top of Marina Bay Sand’s Skypark, a roof like no other, perched 656 feet in the air with an observation deck in the clouds (weather permitting).
SINGAPORE DEPARTURE (B)
Hotel check out time at 12:00 noon. Depart the hotel and head to the airport to catch your return flight home.
