DAY 01


We arrive in Penang, an island on Malaysia’s northwestern coast. Meet our driver at the airport for your private transfer to the hotel.

DAY 02


George Town is the colorful, multicultural capital of the Malaysian island of Penang. Once an important Straits of Malacca trading hub, the city is known for its British colonial buildings, Chinese shophouses, and mosques. Listen to your guide, the city’s past and present stories as you drive past its famous landmarks. Visit the Colonial Penang Museum for a glimpse into the state’s rich heritage and make stops at Wat Chayamangkalaram Siamese temple and Dhammikarama Burmese temple to take in their striking architectural style. Later, visit a favorite local chocolate shop for an opportunity to browse some of its finest products.

DAY 03


Tantalize your taste-buds through this culinary food journey. Discover and enjoy the feast of local delicacies ranging from the various ethnic & fusion Malaysian dishes. Dining out in Penang is a most memorable experience as there are many kinds and varieties of food to tantalize your taste-buds through the culinary food journey. Discover and enjoy the feast of local delicacies ranging from the various ethnic and fusion Malaysian dishes served by Penang’s many famous street hawkers and coffee shops. Visit the Wonderfood Museum before your food trail. The Museum celebrates Penang’s dazzling and tantalizing array of street food and local home cooking. Look out for the famous street paintings and mural arts that mimic ordinary but captivating moments in the city.

DAY 04


Board a short flight to Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian capital. Upon arrival, take a private transfer to the hotel.

DAY 05


Heritage, history, and culture await you on this panoramic tour that spotlights the city’s most celebrated landmarks and gets to know each of these magnificent sites up close. See places like the gate of the King’s Palace, National Mosque, National Monument and Cenotaph, Independence Square, and the famous Petronas Twin Towers. Step back in time with a visit to the National Museum, a fascinating center dedicated to Malaysian history and culture. Later, explore local crafts at the handicraft center and make a stop at a favorite local chocolate boutique for an opportunity to learn, sample, and buy some of its finest products.

DAY 06


Enjoy a day at leisure.

Batik & Batu Caves: $58 per person

Head out of the metropolis and visit the spiritual Batu Caves, a limestone hill riddled with caves and cave temples. Climb the 272 steps to Hindu Lord Murugan’s shrine, seen by over a million pilgrims every year on the annual Thaipusam festival. At the world-famous Royal Selangor pewter factory, learn about this pioneering pewter maker’s production methods and enjoy a guided tour of the foundry where you can watch how this alloy turned into popular souvenirs. Our tour concludes with a visit to a batik workshop and learns how local artists create this exquisite fabric.

Please note: When visiting sacred temples or places of worship, it is best to show respect in the dress code. Dress as modestly as possible (Please avoid shorts, miniskirts, and sleeveless tops.)

DAY 07


Today, we drive from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore. En route, stop for a city tour in Malacca, a historic port city with Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese, and British influences. We start from the Dutch Square in the heart of the Old Town. Explore the Portuguese-influenced St. Paul’s Church and the mighty fortress – Porta de Santiago, built by the Portuguese in 1512. Continue to Christ Church, built-in 1753 in honor of the centenary of the capture of Malacca. Enjoy authentic Peranakan food at lunch. After lunch, see the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, where three major doctrines of Chinese belief worship under the same roof. Take a stroll along Malacca’s Jonker Street, known for its antiques, souvenirs, arts, and crafts, before heading to Singapore.

DAY 08


Explore the city by driving round the Civic District, passing by the Padang, Singapore Cricket Club, historic Parliament House, and the National Gallery Singapore, where the former Supreme Court Building and City Hall sit. Then, stop for Marina Bay’s beautiful view and a photo op of the Merlion statue, Singapore’s mythological figure that’s half-fish, half-lion. Next, it’s on to Thian Hock Keng Temple, one of Singapore’s oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples, before driving past Chinatown. Stop by the National Orchid Garden, part of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, home to 60,000 orchids of various colors and hybrids. Your last stop is Little India’s neighborhood, where you can take in the lively atmosphere and delicious scents coming out of the many Indian restaurants. When your tour ends, you’ll have a helpful overview of the city so you can decide where you want to return later to explore in more depth on your own.

A night out at Marina Bay with dinner: $89 per person

Spend the evening out in Marina Bay on this popular nighttime tour. After an early dinner, take an excursion to the Gardens by the Bay. We discover exotic plants in the Flower Dome from 5 continents display in 9 different gardens. Step into the Flower Dome and find the largest glass greenhouse in the world as listed in the 2015 Guinness World Records! Be amazed by the changing display of flowers and plants from the Mediterranean and semi-arid regions. OR choose to walk in the Cloud forest and marvel at the 114-foot tall indoor waterfall, a mysterious world veiled in mist with amazement at the unique and fragile plants. Take in breathtaking mountain views surrounded by diverse vegetation and hidden floral gems. Watch the SuperTree Grove come alive with an exhilarating display of light and sound at night. Enjoy a birds-eye view of the city from the top of Marina Bay Sand’s Skypark, perched 656 feet in the air with an observation deck in the clouds (weather permitting).
