DUBAI CITY TOUR (B)
Dubai is a city that provides a new setting at every turn, offering a rich blend of the old and the new, making it, without a doubt, the leading tourist destination in the Middle East. Dubai is a city of ages that rises out of the desert and crowns the Gulf Coast with its presence. Your route takes you to the magnificent view of Dubai Creek, passing by the heritage area of Bastakiya, with its charming wind-towered houses built by wealthy merchants. You will then move on to the 225-year old Al Fahidi Fort, where the Dubai Museum holds precious archives of the city’s past, as well as chronicles of its developing stages. Next, you will board an Abra, a traditional boat, to cross the creek to visit the Spice Market and the Gold Souk. On our way to Burj Al Arab, the world’s most luxurious hotel, you will have the opportunity to stop for a photoshoot next to the Jumeirah Mosque – an architectural landmark of Dubai. (This tour is on a share basis.)
This afternoon is free to explore the city at your leisure. Or, book our optional Heritage Dinner Safari Tour.
Optional Tour: Heritage Dinner Safari + $195 per person, minimum of two participants
Take a step back in time and experience Dubai as it was 50 years ago. Your professional guide will escort you on a fascinating journey in a classic 1950’s Land Rover. No other vehicle offers a more authentic desert experience as you drive through the pristine Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, taking in the local exotic wildlife. As the sun goes down, watch a falcon soar around you.
Lit with traditional lamps, we welcome you to the Bedouin royal desert retreat. You will be immersed in local culture as you enjoy local dance, music, henna tattoos and experience the art of traditional Arabic coffee and bread making. History comes to life in this once-in-a-lifetime heritage experience, as you enjoy a sumptuous dinner under the stars. (This tour is on a share basis.)
FREE DAY IN DUBAI (B)
Morning and afternoon at leisure for further exploration of this vibrant city. Or participate in our half-day optional tour to Abu Dhabi.
Half-day private Abu Dhabi City Tour + $175 per person, minimum of two participants
Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, is a gem to discover. Wander around the city’s cultural landmarks and be mesmerized by the magnificent skyline it has worked on through the years. First, we visit the spectacular Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, a palatial architectural wonder that is one of the world’s largest mosques. Then the drive takes you back towards the Persian Gulf, as you admire the modern-day developments along the Abu Dhabi Corniche. Admire some of the world’s most ultra-modern, breathtaking skyscrapers and luxury hotels such as Emirates Palace, facing the pristine beach. Visit the traditional vegetable, dates, and fish markets of Port Zayed to the northeast of the city. Due to its strategic position in the heart of the city, Port Zayed has been instrumental in bolstering Abu Dhabi’s international trade and plays a pivotal role in Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030, the government’s drive to achieve economic diversification. Our tour ends with a visit to the Heritage Village for an insight into the traditional side of Abu Dhabi. This reconstructed desert village features handicraft stalls and open workshops.
