Witness Tanah Lot without the crowds, visit a royal temple, and experience the life of a rural family. We will bring you to the stunning seaside Tanah Lot in the morning to enjoy this ancient temple without the crowds of tourists. Possibly the most famous and most photographed place in Bali, the temple sits majestically on a large offshore rock which has been shaped over the years by the crashing waves of the surrounding sea. After photographing the temple exterior and the unusual rock formations, drive to Taman Ayun temple, a royal temple from the Mengwi Empire. This multi layered temple is set in a beautiful park and surrounded by ponds. Our next stop is a short drive away, and is to the house of a Balinese family. Here you will be offered a warm welcome along with a refreshing coconut drink. Learn how the family make traditional daily offerings and try your hand at weaving a simple basket or making a traditional farmers hat. Take a stroll through the nearby rice field and enjoy a picnic lunch in a simple Balinese pavilion with views of a picturesque river and the surrounding rice paddies.

Visit a sacred temple in the rainforest, walk among the terraced rice paddies and enjoy a romantic picnic with unforgettable views. In the morning, the driver and tour guide will collect you from your hotel for the journey to Batukaru Temple. Located on the misty southern slopes of Mount Batukaru, Bali s second highest volcano, the peaceful temple is surrounded by lush rain forest. Due to its remote location it is rarely visited by tourists, yet is an architectural beauty featuring a multitude of shrines with tiered roofs. It is meant to protect Bali from evil spirits and is an extremely sacred site for the islands Hindu population.

From here drive to the Unesco listed rice terraces of Jatiluwih where stunning emerald-green rice fields cover the sides of the hills. Take a short trek of about 30 – 45 minutes through the rice terraces to your special picnic spot. While you walk your guide will tell you about the Subak irrigation system that has been preserved by the Balinese farmers for centuries. Sit down and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch while taking in the undisturbed views over the stunning landscape.

Start your cultural trip with a visit to Tohpati, which is known for batik products. Continue to Celuk, the center of exquisite silver works and Mas, known for fine woodcarvings. Enter Ubud, known for its fine art galleries, and a home to a score of local and foreign artists. One of them is Agung Rai Museum of Art, which has an extensive collection of paintings by Balinese, Indonesian and foreign artists in classic Balinese and contemporary styles. Afterwards, you can test your bargaining skill at Ubud market prior to a visit to Puri Saren Agung, whose royal family ruled Ubud from the late 1800′s until 1917.

Start this afternoon trip with a visit at one of the most beautiful temples in South Bali, the Pura Taman Ayun, former royal family temple which was built in the 17th century by the former King of Mengwi as his family temple.  Literally translated its name means “the floating flower garden” as the temple is situated in the middle of an artificial lake. It has three ascending levels of spacious courtyards containing rows of shrines and pavillions. Take a short walk through the complex and admire the impressive surrounding. Your last stop is the famous Tanah Lot Temple, one of the most important temples in Bali, built on a small island in front of the west coast; a perfect place to enjoy an amazing sunset in a breathtaking environment.

Witnessing the Kecak Dance performance, well-known as a “monkey dance”.  Afterward we return to the hotel.

In this excursion, you will see the scenic diversity of the Island of the Gods. Start in Bedugul market where the products of the region (strawberries, wild orchids) are sold. Continue to the “floating” Ulun Danu Temple. You cross the mountains on a serpentine road until you have a stunning view on the Bali Sea in Buleleng. Drive along the north coast through Singaraja to Lovina where your lunch will be served in a restaurant at the black sand beach. On your way back to the hotel you will visit the hot springs of Banjar Village.

This cooking school runs unique classes including an adventure off the beaten track. The students always leave with fond memories & new skills to experiment with when they get home. BALI ASLI is located in Gelumpang village, nestled in the foot hills of Mount Agung, Bali’s most sacred mountain and surrounded by rice fields. Students are offered cooking of authentic Balinese food using a traditional Balinese style kitchen. Cooking on wood-fired, mud brick stoves to allow the real flavors of Bali to shine. Most of the ingredients are either grown in the garden, in the neighbor’s garden or purchased from the local market.

A full day tour covering the countryside of Bali awaits. First stop in Batubulan village to watch the traditional Barong Dance, which tells a story of a mythical battle representing the struggle between good and evil. Then, it’s off to Celuk, a hub gold and silver jewelry making, and the wood carving village of Mas, where artisans create intricate designs by chipping into blocks of wood. You’ll also visit workshops and galleries at Ubud. Continue to the Elephant Cave temple, surrounded by towering trees and lush green foliage, often called as “Goa Gajah” has serene and soothing nuance. Traveling along the road to Kintanami, we will visit a fruit plantation. Enjoy the spectacular views of Mount Batur with its ribbons of black lava threading their way down to Lake Batur. On the way back, visit the holy water springs of Sebatu village built in homage to the God of preserver, Wisnu who rules over water, and here one finds a number of natural spring and waterspouts. Return to your hotel en-route passing through the bountiful rice terraces at Tegallalang.

Visit to a local house compound, where every building has a purpose and therefore points in the right direction. Continue to Mas, the islands capital of wood carving. This unique village is famous for preserving their handicraft through generation. Visit Ubud, the village of artists and the market where they display their masterpieces. Along the road to Kintamani you will see the beautiful rice terraces of Tegalalang. Enjoy the view of palms and rice fields in front of the great Mt. Agung. The absolute highlight of the tour is on the top of the ridge of Mt. Batur, opening up with a view of the 4.6 miles volcano crater. Here we will serve your lunch and you will have time to enjoy the stunning view. On your way back to the hotel we visit Goa Gajah temple near Ubud.

Drive to the east side of Bali to see the Kerta Gosa, or Hall of Justice, built in the 18th century in Klungkung. It is beautifully laid out within a moat and provides an exquisite example of the Klungkung style of painting and architecture which can be seen in their ceiling murals. Continue on to Kusamba, a fisherman village that also engages in salt making where you will also see colorful outrigger lined up along the black sand shores. The costal road with full view to Nusa Penida will lead us to Goa Lawah (Bat Cave). This cave, whose walls vibrate with thousands of bats, is considered holy and a temple and surrounding shrines protect the entrance. After lunch venture to Taman Tirta Gangga (Water Palace) whose swimming pools and ornamental ponds serve as a fascinating reminder of the Balinese rajah’s old days. Our last stop will be Tenganan, an original Balinese village, a stronghold of ancient traditions. You can see the local women weave the famous “flaming” cloth, kamben geringsing, which supposedly has the power of immunize the wearer against evil.

Drive through Celuk, known for silver- and gold handcraft, to Klungkung to see the famous hall of justice Kerta Gosa. A must see for every tourist is the mother temple Besakih, located on the slope of Mount Agung. The highlight of the tour is the breathtaking view from Kintamani to Mount Batur and the correspondent lake. Your lunch will be served at the rim of the crater, near the stunning lookout. On your way back to the hotel visit Gunung Kawi temple in Sebatu.

Set off for a journey to one of the most famous snorkeling sites in Bali. Just 328 feet of the beach raises former US Navy transport ship USAT Liberty. Tulamben is home to the 393 feet wreck, sunken during World War II. The ship witnesses the fantastic array of corals and marine life that have made the 393 feet structure their home. Accompanied by a professional snorkeling instructor, experience the wreck from above. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant close to the beach. After lunch, tour the Taman Tirta Gangga (Water Palace), whose swimming pools and ornamental ponds serve as a fascinating reminder of the Balinese rajah’s old days. Following the coastal road with full view to Nusa Penida we will visit Goa Lawah (Bat Cave) where the walls vibrate with thousands of bats.

Early morning we will pick you up from your hotel to drive to the milder climate of 1200 meters above sea level. Begin the 2 hours trek to the top (1717 m) to enjoy the sunrise. From here you will have a magnificent view of the sunrise over the crater. We walk around the rim of the volcanic cone to see the crater of the last eruption. The last eruption of the Batur was in 1994 and the volcano is still active with smoke rising from its heart. Descending from the volcano you have to pass a sea of black sand. Breakfast will be served on top before returning to the hotel. (Only recommended to participants in good physical condition, good walking shoes required).

We drive to  Ubud  or in the surrounding area to visit the shaman, the traditional healers who play an important part in Bali’s culture by treating physical and mental illness, removing spells and channeling information from the ancestors (pre booking is require for visiting shaman). Then continue to visit  Penglipuran Village to see a traditional countryside owning unique characteristic life, socializing and culture. Afterward we visit holy spring of Tirta Empul, surrounded by a large shrine to honor the God Indra. There are bathing pools which are believed to have strong curative powers. We will have some purifying blessing ceremony at Tirta Empul.

Walk through the hidden natural beauty of Ubud and learn the ancient recipes of healing drinks. On arrival in Ubud, meet your professional specialist guide and together take a walk through the quiet outskirts of the town to find the plants that will be used in the Jamu-making class – a traditional Indonesian herbal drink. Many Indonesian people drink these herbal concoctions on a daily basis to prevent disease or as treatment for existing health conditions. The guide will explain to you about all the plants, herbs or roots you see and their medicinal qualities. After the walk, refresh yourself with a drink of freshly brewed healthy tea. Armed with a lot of new knowledge and a variety of fresh herbs, learn how to make Jamu. You will also receive the Jamu recipes so you can make it again yourself once back home as many of the ingredients can easily be found in nature or grown at home.
