Itinerary

DAY 01

ARRIVE IN CHIANG MAI

Arrive in Chiang Mai, the cultural capital of the north and home to more than 100 monasteries, great shopping districts, and wonderful restaurants. Upon arrival, met by our local representative at the airport and you will be escorted to your hotel for check-in.

DAY 02

CHIANG MAI (B)

We spend the afternoon exploring the highlights of Chiang Mai. Visit Wat Chedi Luang with its towering, ruined Lanna-style chedi and Wat Prah Singha, which houses a sacred Buddha image, dominated by an enormous, mosaic-inlaid wihan (sanctuary). Continue to Doi Suthep, home to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep – considered one of northern Thailand’s most sacred shrine in northern Thailand. Founded under miraculous circumstances in 1386, this spiritual location features a steep flight of 300 stairs flanked by greenery and guarded by a 16th Century Naga serpent carving. You can either brave the climb or opt for a more gentle funicular train adjacent the stairs. Atop the mountain, the views from here are nothing short of stunning. After the tour, transfer to your hotel with free time to relax.

DAY 03

CHIANG MAI/ PATARA ELEPHANT FARM  (B/L)

Spend the day at Patara Elephant Farm for hands-on experience to learn and take care of an elephant. You will also have an opportunity to ride on elephant back into the surrounding forest.

DAY 04

CHIANG MAI/PHUKET (B)

Board your flight to Phuket, home to some of Asia’s most beautiful beaches. Upon arrival, meet your driver at the airport for your private transfer to your tropical hillside resort overlooking the magnificent Karon Beach. After check in you will have free time to explore the famous island and its renowned beaches.

DAY 05

PHI PHI ISLAND BY CATAMARAN BOAT (B/L)

Phi Phi islands are widely considered to be amongst the most beautiful island in the world, recently rocking to fame with the filming of the movie “The Beach” on Maya Bay.  Start your voyage to the underwater world of Loh Lana, stop for swimming or snorkeling with the colorful fish and exploring the abundant coral reef.  Enjoy lunch on board before heading on to admire the beauty of Camel Rock and Nui Bay.  Cruise on through the breathtaking scenery of Maya Bay, Loh Samah Bay Pileh Lagoon and Viking Cave then stop to relax with a coffee at Tonsai Bay   before returning to Phuket.

DAY 06

PHUKET (B)

A day for relaxation or perhaps, spend the day snorkeling, kayaking, diving, or exploring some of the town’s finest shops. For the total island experience, join our optional Jungle Trekking tour to experience the tropical forest with its great variety of plants and wildlife. Hike past the impressive limestone rock of our cove through the untouched jungle and learn more about indigenous plants, trees and animals.

DAY 07

PHUKET/BANGKOK (B)

Meet your driver for your private transfer to the airport where you will board a short flight to Bangkok, Thailand’s capital known for decorative shrines and a pulsating street life. Upon arrival, take your private transfer to your hotel situated along the Chao Phraya River within walking distance to Khaosan Road.

DAY 08

TOUR BANGKOK BY BOAT (B)

After breakfast, we travel by boat on the Chao Phraya River (The River of Kings) and on through the Klongs (canals) of Thonburi. You will have the chance to observe and photograph the serene family homes and temples along the waterways, which gave the city the name “Venice of the East”. Then, we visit the Grand Palace, the perfect example of an ancient Siamese court. Continue to Wat Phra Kaew, which houses the sacred Emerald Buddha, Thailand’s most revered religious image. Continue our visit to one of the most photographed sights in Bangkok, the Wat Arun. The majestic shrine has a pagoda of 249 feet high. It is decorated with glazed ceramic pieces, that reflect the rising sun and gave the temple its name. This afternoon is free at leisure. We will have the afternoon at leisure. During your free time tonight, take the opportunity to browse through Bangkok’s fabulous night markets.

DAY 09

DAMNOEN SADUAK FLOATING MARKET/BANGKOK NIGHT TOUR BY TUK TUK (B)

Our morning tour takes us to the rural yet world-famous floating market of Damnern Saduak, located 62 miles west of Bangkok. It is generally known as Klong Ton Khem Floating Market or Damnern Saduak Floating Market. Once there, board a long-tail boat to visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, an old-style marketplace set in a small klong (canal) network where floating vendors sell their wares from canoe-style boats. Some floating vendors even prepare noodles in hot broth and delicious snacks from their boats, while the nearby wooden piers are packed with a variety of food stalls. Nowadays, the market is bustling with activity from very early in the morning until about 11.00 am. For those who want to buy some memorabilia here, do not forget to bargain. Return to Bangkok for a free afternoon.

 

Bangkok is a city that never sleeps. Its nightlife is legendary, but many of the most beautiful parts of the city are often overlooked at night. Tonight, we tour the city by tuk tuk, an iconic form of transportation that must be experienced in Bangkok at least once. We will visit some of Bangkok’s most famous temples, such as Wat Pho (from outside). We will walk through local Bangkok night markets including the 24-hour Flower market where the vivid colors come alive under the fluorescent lights, at a time when flowers are starting to get delivered. We will make stops to sample some of the city’s best noodles and desserts.

DAY 10

BANGKOK (B)

Today is yours to plan your own adventure. Indulge in a shopping spree at local stores or perhaps, consider our optional tour to Ayutthaya, once the capital of the Siam Empire.

DAY 11

BANGKOK DEPARTURE (B)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
