IMPORTANT
NOTES
Please carefully read and be sure that you full
understand the IMPORTANT NOTES and TERMS & CONDITIONS as stated in
this brochure. Receipt of your deposit or payment represents your
acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms and conditions. Your travel
agent or Globotours are happy to clarify any questions you may have.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Cruise accommodations are based on double occupancy of
twin-bedded stateroom. Triple occupancy in cabins is on request basis and
subject to availability. All Yangtze River cruise ships are People’s
Republic of China registry.
Hotels are based on double occupancy in
hotels indicated in the itineraries or assigned by local agencies.
Single supplement is applied for single occupancy. A limited number
of single rooms may be available for an additional charge. Triple
accommodation can sometimes be arranged, few genuine triple rooms exist.
Invariably to make a triple, a cot or roll-away bed is added to a regular
twin-bedded room. Such accommodation are not recommended for three adults,
nor is there any reduction in cost offered by the hotels. Triple or single
rooms are never guaranteed and no refund will be given if not provided,
unless a certificated from the hotel is received by GTS Globotours within
30 days of the tour’s completion. All hotels are subject to change at
any time. Substitutions, if any, are similar class to listed hotels. Hotel
ratings as per respective governments or local standards, which are
sometimes, lower than the US standards.
MEALS: As
indicated in the itinerary, meals are provided from a group menu.
Beverages are provided only when they are part of the group menu for each
particular meal. Additional items, beverages or refills may be purchased
from the waiter. While on train or during transit, no meals are provided.
They can be purchased by each passenger on the spots, whenever available. Voluntary non-usage of meal coupons are non refundable and
non exchangeable.
TOURS: Due to
occasional flight delays, weather conditions or other unforeseen
situations, it might not be possible to include some sightseeing tours as
scheduled. Cultural and acrobatic shows and the Children’s Palace
performances might not be available during the holidays and seasonal
recess in China. If it becomes necessary to change the means of
transportation or any other service, or for the tour to be prolonged
through circumstances beyond the control of the ground operator, any
additional tour cost must be borne by the passenger and is payable
immediately. Due to weather, varying water levels on the Yangtze River or
construction at the Three Gorges Dam, Yangtze River cruise routes and
shore excursions are subject to possible change.
TOUR MANAGERS (ESCORTED PROGRAMS):
China programs: A
group size of 10 or more participants, your tour manager will meet you at
your first point of entry and accompany you through your tour until your
departure in China. (Any overnight stopovers, involuntary or otherwise,
are not considered the first point of entry). If the group size falls
below the minimum required number of participants; the tour will be
locally hosted and we reserve the right to cancel the tour. For departures
less than 10 passengers will be locally hosted.
Indochina programs:
For group size of 15 or more participants, your tour manager will meet you
at your first point of entry and accompany you through your tour until the
last city as indicated in itinerary in our brochures. (Any overnight
stopovers, involuntary or otherwise, are not considered the first point of
entry). If the group size falls below the minimum required number of
participants; the tour will be locally hosted and we reserve the right to
cancel the tour. For departures less than 10 passengers will be locally
hosted.
The Orient programs:
For group size of 15 or more participants, your tour manager will meet you
at your first point of entry and accompany you through your tour until the
last city as indicated in itinerary in our brochures. (Any overnight
stopovers, involuntary or otherwise, are not considered the first point of
entry). If the group size falls below the minimum required number of
participants; the tour will be locally hosted and we reserve the right to
cancel the tour. For departures less than 10 passengers will be locally
hosted.
Single
Destination tours, other programs & Pre/Post tour extensions: All tours are locally guided
with a minimum of 2 passengers, and we reserve the right to cancel with
less than 6 participants.
TRAVEL
DOCUMENTS/VISAS: US
passports with a six-month validity AFTER the date of return are required
for all tour participants. Upon request, GTS Globotours will secure the visa for entry into
the People’s Republic of China (not required for Hong Kong) for a normal
fee. All applications must be forwarded to Chinese Consulate for their
approval. GTS Globotours cannot guarantee the acceptance of your visa
application. If for any reason your application is denied, a full refund
will be made on any payment. Visas are required for China, Vietnam and
Cambodia. Multiple entry visas may require for some tour programs.
Visa fee is not included in tour cost shown. Citizens of other
countries must contact the respective country’s consulate or a preferred
visa service for entry requirements. All travel documents, as well as
compliance with all custom regulations, are the responsibility of tour
participants, not the tour operator. Please
contact GTS Globotours for information regarding Vietnam & Cambodia
visas.
BAGGAGE: Baggage allowance differs for the transpacific/
transatlantic and China/Asia sections of your tour. US
transpacific/transatlantic allowance is two pieces of checked baggage.
Maximum weight/size for each piece is 50 lbs/62 inches (sum of three
dimensions). One carry-on not to exceed 45 inches (sum of three dimensions)
is allowed. Baggage allowance within China and on Inter-Asia flights is
one piece of baggage not over 44 lbs. Per person, plus a carry-on. Baggage
in excess of one piece per person will result in excess baggage fees to be
paid immediately upon demand. Mongolia travel allows 33 lbs. Total 22 lbs.
For checked luggage and 11 lbs for a carry-on. We strongly recommend
baggage insurance as GTS Globotours does not assume any responsibility for
loss or damage to baggage or passenger’s belongings. It is at
passenger’s risk throughout.
DOCUMENT DELIVERY: Documents
or tickets will not be mailed out until full payment has been received.
All documents are sent via first class mail approx. 2 weeks before
commencement of services booked by GTS Globotours. If you prefer to have
your documents sent via express air service, please be sure to include the
additional cost ($25.00 or more) in final payment and we will be happy to
provide this service for you. Earlier issuance or mailing of documents may
be arranged upon travelers’ written request for an additional $25.00
service fee plus any additional cost imposed by suppliers or government
agencies. This may be arranged only if GTS Globotours is able to obtain
all the necessary documents and confirmations from suppliers before these
documents are to be issued.
HEALTH: In general,
tours are quite active and require a good deal of walking, frequently
including stairs. Tibet requires travel into areas of high altitude and
with extreme temperature fluctuation. We strongly recommend that you
discuss any health concerns regarding these points with your personal
physician before you sign up the trip.
In order to ensure smooth operations of the tours, our local handling
agency requires exclusion of any person whose health condition makes them
unsuitable for long trips due to mental illness, serious, chronic or
contagious illness, advanced pregnancy, senility or infirmity.
Additional Assistance: In order to ensure the
smooth operation of the tour for all group members, any traveler requiring
special assistance must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for
providing all such assistance. Or you may contact GTS Globotours to
arrange for appropriate assistance, at an additional cost. Handicap access
to some facilities may not be available at the same required levels
standard in the U.S..
TERMS
AND CONDITIONS

RESERVATION
REQUEST: Your
temporary reservation request will be held for 5 business days from
the date the request is made. Requests for land and air reservations
are confirmed in the order the deposit is received by our office.
DEPOSIT: Deposits, Travel Protection Fees and Visa Fees must
be paid by CHECK. Travel Protection Fees must be paid by SEPARATE
CHECK. Note: Photocopy of valid passport must accompany deposit in
order to process your booking. Upon receipt of your deposit, written
confirmation/invoice will be sent.
1) Our receipt of the deposit confirms your reservation and is
applied toward final payment. At the time of deposit, your temporary
reservation number will become an actual booking number ……US
$300.00 per person.
2) Travel Protection payment is due in the form of a Separate check
at the time of deposit with completed Travel Protection Form and is
non-refundable.
3) If you are applying for your own visa: Photocopies of valid
passport must be sent with deposit in order to process the booking.
Passenger names must be as listed on the respective passports. Name
changes are subject to airlines’ approval and a $30.00 change fee.
4) China visa: Upon request, GTS will be happy to secure your China
visa for a nominal fee. US Passport with a six month validity After
the date of return should be sent to our office 45 days prior to
departure date with completed and signed Visa Application Form,
official passport-size color photo(s), including payment by check
only. Visa fee is non-refundable once the visa application is
submitted. Please call us for complete visa application.
5) Vietnam and Cambodia visa: Please contact us for details.
China visa fee: US $80.00 per person for U.S. passport holder.
6) Passenger names: It is the responsibility of the travel agent or
traveler (whoever receives GTS confirmation/invoice) to verify that
the name shown on the confirmation/invoice exactly matches the
traveler’s passport name. If discrepancy found, agent or traveler
has to notify GTS in writing within 5 business days upon receiving
our confirmation/invoice. A revision fee will be charged if name
must be changed within 75 days prior to tour departure date, changes
are also subject to airline penalties. GTS is not responsible for
any ticket reissue charges or denial of boarding by an airline due
to name discrepancy.)
FINAL PAYMENT: 1) Final payment is due 75 days prior to
departure date in the form of agency check or credit card, with
completed and signed credit card authorization form.
2) If reservation request is made within 75 days prior to departure
date, payment must be in full upon confirmation of the reservation.
Special delivery charges may apply.
GTS Globotours (hereinafter GTS), the tour operator, reserves the
right to cancel bookings not paid in full by 75 days prior to
departure date, or to modify your tour arrangements to accommodate
unforeseen circumstances due to high demand for air, cruise and
hotel space. You will be notified immediately should this situation
arise.
REVISIONS AND CANCELLATION FEES:
REVISIONS: A per-booking fee for each revision will be assessed for
any changes in air and/or land arrangements after the booking number
has been issued and is under deposit.
From confirmation of reservations through issue date of

CANCELLATION FEES: All tours:

On or after departure date ...........100% forfeiture of the tour
price per person. *Plus any charges assessed by land suppliers,
cruise companies and airlines, in additional to any GTS
administrative/revision fees.
GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS:
Promotional discount: Discounts are applicable to final payment
and valid only when payment is received by date specified on the
promotion. Promotional discounts or any promotional offers are
neither combinable nor in conjunction with any other special offers.
1)
Late payments: To ensure smooth tour operation, final payment
must be received at least 75 days prior to departure. A $50.00 per
person late payment fee will be added to your invoice if final
payment is not received by 75 days prior to due date. Reservations
are subject to cancellation if final payment is not received by 75
days and cancellation fee will apply.
2)
Reservations 74-46 days prior to departure: While booking
early ensures the widest choice of availability, we will make every
effort to accommodate spontaneous travel plans. Full payment on
bookings made between 74-46 days prior to departure is due within 3
days of receipt of invoice to avoid the late payment fee shown
above.
Payment is accepted by certified check or credit card only.
Prices may be subject to change less than 75 days prior to
departure.

Late bookings: A $50.00 administrative handling fee will be
assessed on new reservations made within 45-14 days prior to
departure and must be guaranteed at time of booking with a credit
card. Late bookings are subject to availability and may incur
additional charges assessed by suppliers.
4)
Revisions: A
$20.00 per person fee for each revision, including addition
or deletion of services, will be assessed for any changes in air
and/or land arrangements (plus supplier’s penalties). Once
documents/tickets are issued, changes are not permitted. Revisions
fee is in addition to any rebooking fees.
5)
Rebooking: A change in departure date or from one tour to
another after your original reservation has been processed is
considered a cancelled trip, and cancellation fees will apply.
CHINA DOMESTIC and INTRA ASIA airfares are non refundable.
Medical reasons are not accepted as proof to waive cancellation
penalties. Insurance is available to protect travelers against
involuntary medical cancellation and the purchase of such is
recommended. Also recommended are baggage, accident and sickness
insurance. Cost of insurance premium is non refundable,
regardless of the reason(s) of cancellation by client. Service
charges, booking and change fees are never refundable.
REFUND:
Any claims for refunds must be submitted in writing and
received by GTS in City of Industry, CA within 14 days and must be
made through the agent from whom the tour has been purchased. All
unused travel documents must be returned with claims. No claims
request will be considered after that date. Please allow a minimum
of

six
(6) weeks to process a claim. Refund requests for absences or unused
services are not granted. A US$ 50.00 procession fee will be charged
for refunds.
AIR TRANSPORTATION: Air transportation is via Singapore
Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Japan Airlines, Asiana Airlines
and participating carriers, subject to the rules and regulations of
the class, fare and service of the individual airline. Tours that
are published inclusive of air utilize contracted net fares in
effect at time of printing. (Dec 01, 2005) and are subject to change
by the airline. Due to special contracted net agreements,
supplements or credits for air deviations may not be equal to
published airfare differentials. The domestic Chinese carriers
provide air transportation in China.
Airfares are subject to change and any increase in airfare will be
added to the tour price and be borne by the passenger.
TIPS & TAXES: Local and state taxes and all required group
tips to hotel and restaurant personnel and group entrance fees to
places in the itinerary are included (except those listed below
under “Not Included.”) Gratuities to tour escort, hosts, guides,
drivers, porters or for services not included in the program are at
participant’s discretion.
TRANSFERS: Transfers are included when specified. Transfers
between airports, rail stations, piers and hotels by motorcoach/bus
are provided only for clients who purchase the entire air and land
package from GTS and do not deviate from the group itinerary.
Individual transfers may be purchased from GTS.

OPERATOR CANCELLATION: GTS reserves the right to cancel any
tour prior to departure if minimum participation is not met or if
any other circumstances so warrant. Every effort will be made to
accommodate passengers on another tour or at passenger’s option,
entire payment less non refundable fees, will be refunded without
further obligation on the part of the operator.
NOT INCLUDED: Cost of passport, visas applicable (US or foreign)
departure taxes, customs users fees, airline security fees, fuel
surcharges, airport fees, local taxes, vaccinations (if required),
expenses within the USA or costs of transportation to or from tour
departure point, laundry, excess baggage charges, room service,
wines and liquors, beverages, meals other than specified and/or
items not on regular menus of the group meals, any items of personal
nature, health, accident or baggage insurance or any items not
listed in the itinerary or above as included. Additional surcharges
may be imposed by authorities depending on route of itinerary.
RESPONSIBILITY: The responsibility of GTS Globotours (hereafter
call GTS) and/or their agents is strictly limited. GTS acts as tour
operator and agent. The suppliers providing transportation,
conveyance or accommodations are independent contractors and are not
agents or employees of GTS. All tickets, coupons and receipts issued
by GTS and all arrangements for transport or conveyance or for hotel
accommodations are made by GTS as agent of the suppliers. By
utilizing the services of suppliers, you agree that neither GTS nor
any subsidiary or affiliate of GTS shall be liable for any injury,
damage, loss, accident or delay incurred by you or those services
resulting directly or indirectly from any acts or default of the
suppliers or from any occurrence or condition beyond the control of
GTS, including defects in vehicles or breakdown in equipment. Nor
shall GTS be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay
resulting directly or indirectly from delays, cancellations or
changes in flights, itineraries, schedules, steamers or other
services, strikes, theft, sickness, weather, quarantine or other
causes. All tour itineraries and fares may be affected by
alterations or delays in air or surface transportation services of
the various countries. GTS reserves the right to withdraw any tour
in this program and to make such alterations in the itineraries as
may be found desirable for the convenience of the parties or the
proper operation of the tour. GTS reserves the right to decline to
accept or to retain any person as a member of the tour party at any
time.
All tour fares shown are based on the
present value of foreign currencies in relation to the US dollar in
effect on October 01, 2005 and in current tariffs on the same date
and are subject to change. The right is reserved to cancel the tour
prior to departure for any reason. In such case, a full refund of
all payments will constitute full settlement with the passenger.
The airlines concerned are not held
responsible for any act, or event during the time the passengers are
not on board their planes or conveyances. The passenger’s contract
in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the
sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tours
and/or passenger. Any and/or all transportation companies herein
mentioned shall have or incur no responsibility for liability to any
traveler aside from their liability as common carriers. The
carrier’s international tariff is available for inspection by the
passenger and will govern all aspects of the air transportation.
The General Conditions under which you
agree to utilize the services of GTS in arranging the tours in this
brochure or website, may not be amended in any way except in writing
signed by an authorized officer of GTS. By utilizing the services of
GTS, you agree the exclusive venue for all claims, actions or
proceedings against GTS of whatsoever nature arising out of this
contract shall be the State of California and such claim, actions or
proceedings shall be determined according to the laws and
jurisdiction of the State of California.
All tour prices include cost of planning, booking and operations
and are subject to change without prior notice.
