Kremlin Tour
$211
This tour will take you through one of the most important city landmark where unique complex of architectural monuments surrounded by ancient red brick walls are crowned with 19 towers. The first wooden Kremlin was built by the order of Prince Yuri Dolgoruky in 1156 and later during the reign of Prince Dmitry Donskoy, the white stonewalls were erected. Upon the 15th century when the seat of Orthodox religion was moved to Moscow, several Italian architects were invited to reconstruct the Kremlin, especially the cathedrals and chapels. Thus the architectural ensemble of Kremlin we can see today has appeared. The centre of Kremlin is the Cathedral Square with the Cathedral of Assumption where royal wedding and coronation ceremonies used to take place. The Cathedral of Annunciation and the Cathedral of Archangel Mikhail are located next to it.
Tretijakov Gallery Tour
$207
Founded in 1856 by the merchant Tretyakov, the gallery’s collections initially consisted of works produced by Moscow and St. Petersburg painters - Tretyakov's contemporaries. However today, there are about 47.000 Russian works of art housed here. The museum boasts the largest collection of Russian masters from the 18th and 19th centuries including Nikitin, Rokotov, Borovikovsky, Kiprensky, Brullov, Ivanov and other world-famous collection from ancient Russian icons.
Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius Tour
$341
Drive along the Yaroslavsky highway towards the small town of Sergiev Posad situated atapproximately 70 km (about 50 miles) away from Moscow. The town emerged a long time ago around the St.Trinity Sergius Lavra, (the Greek word "lavra" means "monastery"), which was established here by one of Russia’s most honored saints, reverent Sergius of Radonezh in 1340.For centuries the monastery has been the biggest religious and cultural center of the Russian state. Icon painters such as Andrey Rublev and Daniel Chorny worked there and used frescoes to decorate the main church of the monastery - the Trinity Cathedral. The importance of the monastery and its founder for the history of Russia should not be overestimated. It is the basis that supports Russian spirituality, statehood, and national character.
